Empowering Minds, Transforming Futures: Collaborative, Child-Centered Expertise in Student Well-being
My Approach to Psychology
As a nationally certified school psychologist in private practice, I offer a client-centered, collaborative approach to care, focusing on understanding behavior and providing clear, empowering answers. My work affirms individuals and families, helping them navigate differences in development in areas like learning, self-regulation, and everyday functioning. Whether you’re seeking evaluation, mental health support, or advocacy, I’m committed to offering compassionate, accessible care that fosters growth, healing, and clarity every step of the way.
Who is Lawson?
That would be me! Some of my graduate students dropped the “doctor” and called me “Lawson,” and I came to like it. You can read more about me on the About page, but for now I will hit the highlights. My days are full. I am a mom of three. I love being a parent and very much enjoy the work I do too! I have worked with children since I was a kid, and do not plan on ever stopping. I am a warm, approachable, passionate person who takes the scary and intimidating out of testing!

What are LEAPS?
A Safe Space for You
I take pride in creating a welcoming, non-intimidating environment for evaluations and testing. As an approachable practitioner, I strive to make the process comfortable and stress-free, especially for children. Just ask the kids who work with me! My goal is to provide you with a safe, supportive space to be yourself, while offering professional guidance and care.
